Rossella Todde
About me!
Hello… I am Rossella, and welcome to Reflective Time Counselling.
I am a compassionate and dedicated Person-Centred Psychotherapeutic Counsellor based in the Southampton Area and Online. I am committed to providing a grounded, empathetic, supportive, and non-judgmental space for individuals seeking healing and personal growth. Finding a therapist you trust is essential to an open and meaningful therapeutic relationship, and our initial session will help us explore whether my approach aligns with your needs.
Ten years ago, I took the brave step of starting my therapeutic journey, which has been truly transformative. Therapy helped me address aspects of myself I hadn’t realised needed healing, and it has provided me with valuable insights and personal growth that continues to evolve. This ongoing journey has inspired me to become a counsellor myself, enabling me to empower others as they navigate their paths toward healing and self-discovery.
The Latin phrase "Ad Maiora Semper" beautifully captures my mission: to guide you on a journey of empowerment, self-acceptance, and growth.
I wholeheartedly believe that healing is a pathway toward discovering greater possibilities in your life.
Whether you’re navigating challenges in your relationships, processing trauma, or dealing with issues related to alcohol and substance use, I’m here to support you.
The person-centred approach can help you move past your current struggles and toward a life that feels truly fulfilling and authentic.
In our work together, it’s important to remember that you are not defined by your past; rather, you are inspired by the incredible potential within you.

Feeling bad about yourself
I offer a warm, empathetic, and non-judgemental environment for self-exploration and healing, specifically supporting clients who may feel down about themselves.
This supportive relationship empowers clients to explore their emotions, challenge negative self-beliefs, and reconnect with their strengths, fostering a greater sense of self-worth and overall well-being.
Relationships Challenges
I understand how exhausting it can be to constantly try to fit in, and I’m here to help. In our time together, I offer a secure and accepting environment where you can openly explore your challenges without fear of judgement.
It’s important to have a safe space to navigate these struggles, and I’m dedicated to supporting you as you find your way. You are not alone in this journey.
Feeling Shame or Self-blame
Shame and self-blame can be deeply painful, often leaving you feeling stuck, not “good enough,” or responsible for things beyond your control.
I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can safely explore these feelings, challenge harsh self-beliefs, and reconnect with your inherent worth, building self-compassion and a more accepting relationship with yourself.
Addiction and Trauma Therapy
I specialise in working with addiction and trauma, and I have experience supporting clients within a local residential rehabilitation setting. This has given me a deeper understanding of the complexities of substance use, recovery, and the emotional impact that often sits alongside it.
I am deeply committed to supporting individuals who are struggling with drug and alcohol misuse. I offer a warm, empathic, and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to explore your experiences, no matter where you are on your journey.
I work from a humanistic integrative counselling approach, drawing on different therapeutic perspectives to meet your unique needs while keeping the relationship at the heart of our work.
My aim is to walk alongside you as you begin to make sense of your relationship with substances, build self-acceptance, and develop the resilience needed for lasting and meaningful change. I believe recovery is possible when you feel truly heard, understood, and supported.
I also recognise that addiction is often closely linked to past trauma. Trauma recovery is a deeply personal and sensitive process, and I honour each client’s pace.
Together, we can gently explore your experiences in a way that feels safe.
Carl Rogers: The Founder of Person-Centred Therapy
Carl Rogers (1902–1987) was an influential American psychologist and one of the founders of humanistic psychology. He developed Person-Centred Therapy, a compassionate and non-directive approach that emphasises empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness in the therapeutic relationship. Rogers believed that individuals have an innate capacity for growth and self-actualisation when provided with the right support.
His work revolutionised psychotherapy by shifting the focus from the therapist as an expert to the client as the expert in their own experience.
"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."
Carl Rogers
