Counselling Service
Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy
As an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I offer confidential, compassionate and non-judgemental counselling for adults in Romsey, Hampshire, and online across the UK.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their ethical framework.
Everyone’s circumstances are different. Our work together is therefore tailored to your individual experiences, needs and goals.
Addiction, Substance Use & Chemsex
Addiction and problematic substance use can affect far more than the substance itself. They can influence relationships, intimacy, work, emotional wellbeing, self-esteem and your sense of who you are.
You may be using drugs or alcohol to manage difficult emotions, cope with experiences from the past, feel more confident or connected, or escape from thoughts and feelings that feel overwhelming.
My work includes support around drug and alcohol use, problematic patterns of substance use and chemsex.
Chemsex can bring its own complexities, particularly where drug use becomes closely connected with sex, intimacy, relationships, identity or emotional connection. You may find yourself caught in patterns that you understand but struggle to change.
Therapy can provide a confidential space to explore these experiences without judgement.
We can look at:
- Your relationship with drugs or alcohol
- Patterns of use and what may be maintaining them
- Chemsex and sexualised drug use
- Sex, intimacy and connection
- Shame, guilt and self-criticism
- Relationships and trust
- Emotional triggers and coping strategies
- Your hopes for change
You do not have to decide immediately whether you want to stop completely.
Therapy can begin by helping you understand what is happening and what you want your relationship with substances to look like.

Ethical Practice
Our work together will follow the BACP 2018 Ethical Framework for Counselling Professions guidelines.
I want you to know that everything you discuss during your session is confidential. Confidentiality will only be broken if there is concern about your safety or the safety of someone else, or I am instructed to do so by a Court of Law, for example, you are involved in a serious crime, or disclose any safeguarding or child protection issues, drug trafficking, or money laundering. In that case, I cannot maintain confidentiality and would need to let the relevant authorities know.
I will always try to talk to you about this first.
Additionally, I regularly attend supervision to review and reflect on my work with all clients alongside a qualified supervisor.
